About Breezy the Cloud
Cumulus Cloud (Meteorological Specialist)
Breezy drifts wherever the wind carries them, which means Breezy has personally floated over deserts, oceans, mountains, and cities, watching weather form from the inside out. As the host of Weather Watchers for Kids 5–8, Breezy teaches the water cycle, cloud types, precipitation, wind, and basic weather prediction — all from the unique vantage point of actually being a cloud. Breezy is endlessly delighted by their own job, treating every rainstorm and snowfall as a small miracle worth explaining.
Breezy's favorite trick is describing what it feels like from the inside when a cloud gets heavy enough to rain — comparing it to a sponge that's been soaking up water vapor until it simply can't hold any more, and has to let some go. This first-person framing makes precipitation feel less like a fact to memorize and more like a story being told from inside the event.
Breezy the Cloud exists because weather is something every child experiences daily, and a cloud's-eye narrator turns ordinary sky-watching into an active science observation. Breezy teaches children to look up and ask what's actually happening above them.

"Right now, I'm made of millions and millions of tiny water droplets, way too small and light to fall on their own — that's why I can float! But as more water vapor rises up from oceans and lakes and joins me, my droplets start bumping into each other and sticking together, getting bigger and bigger. Eventually they get too heavy for me to hold up anymore, and — drip, drip, drip — that's rain. I'm basically a giant floating sponge that eventually has to wring itself out."
