Physics
What is it?
Physics is the most fundamental science of all β the study of matter, energy, forces, and how they interact. Every other science ultimately builds on physics: chemistry is physics at the atomic level, biology runs on physical and chemical processes, and engineering applies physics to build things that work. Physics explains how rockets fly, how rainbows form, why things float or sink, how energy transforms, and how sound reaches your ears.
Physics is the most-connected topic in Little Lab Challenges Season 1, with six of the ten episodes touching on core physics concepts. Episode 1 (light refraction and the visible spectrum), Episode 2 (buoyancy and COβ bubble physics), Episode 3 (Newton's Third Law and thrust), Episode 5 (density and fluid dynamics), Episode 6 (elastic potential energy converting to kinetic energy), and Episode 10 (sound wave mechanics and vibration frequency) all demonstrate fundamental physics principles in completely hands-on, visible ways.
